SpaceX Starship Receives Launch License for Fourth Test Flight
Subheading: FAA Approves Commercial Launch License for Integrated Flight Test 4 (IFT-4)
Third Subheading: IFT-4 Set to Launch June 6, 2024
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the commercial launch license for the fourth test flight of SpaceX's Starship rocket, dubbed Integrated Flight Test 4 (IFT-4). The launch is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 5:04 am EST.
The Starship is a gargantuan rocket under development by Elon Musk's SpaceX. It is designed to transport humans and cargo to the Moon and Mars. IFT-4 will be the fourth integrated flight test of a prototype Starship launch vehicle.
If everything goes well on IFT-4, the fifth Starship launch (IFT-5) could happen sometime this summer. IFT-5 may feature the first-ever attempt to land the Starship on the Moon.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
