The Ferrari Purosangue: Ferrari's First Four-Door SUV

A History of Ferrari's Four-Seater Models

Ferrari has a long history of producing high-performance sports cars, but the Purosangue is the company's first-ever four-door, four-seater SUV. However, models with two rear seats have played a significant role in Ferrari's strategy.

1952 Ferrari 375 America

The 375 America was one of the first Ferraris to offer rear seats, albeit small ones. Only 12 examples were produced, making it a highly collectible classic car.

1960 Ferrari 250 GT 2+2

The 250 GT 2+2 was a more practical Ferrari with a larger cabin and more comfortable rear seats. It was a popular choice for wealthy buyers who wanted a Ferrari they could use for everyday driving.

1964 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2

The 330 GT 2+2 was an evolution of the 250 GT 2+2 with a more powerful engine and a more modern design. It was one of the most popular Ferraris of its era.

The Ferrari Purosangue

The Purosangue is Ferrari's first-ever four-door, four-seater SUV. It is based on the same platform as the Ferrari Roma, but it has a raised ride height and a more spacious cabin. The Purosangue is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 715 horsepower and 528 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 193 mph. The Purosangue is a significant departure from Ferrari's traditional sports cars, but it is still a true Ferrari at heart. It is a high-performance SUV that offers the same thrilling driving experience as a Ferrari sports car.

Pricing and Availability

The Purosangue is priced at $398,350 in the United States. It is available in a variety of colors and options. Deliveries of the Purosangue are expected to begin in early 2023.
